The Tabernacle of Faith Christian Church was founded on December 11, 2018, under the leadership and pastorate of Rev. Dr. Guyrinthain L. Harris and Lady Felicia Harris. On Sunday, January 1, 2019, the Tabernacle of Faith Christian Church held its first worship service in the Mt. Pilgrim District Association facility at 2500 35th Ave. North, Birmingham, Alabama 35207. On that Sunday, the Lord blessed the Tabernacle of Faith Christian Church with 41 faithful members who joined and started attending weekly worship service and bible study.

Since that time, the membership has grown and continues to flourish. From 2020 through 2022, COVID-19 invaded the House of God, and Tabernacle of Faith church doors were temporarily closed due to State mandates. Services were recorded on the Band App, as well as phone services. We had a worship service outside in the church parking lot that year. In April 2021, the sanctuary doors were reopened, and Morning worship service began at 11:00 am each Sunday. Of course, attendance was down, but God was with us, and he blessed TFCC to return to the sanctuary wearing masks and practicing social distancing and COVID-19 requirements. Fundraiser activities were also incorporated into the church building ministry.

In 2023, God saw fit to call into the ministry Michael Bell licensed minister: two ordained ministers, Tomeka Lewis and Lazarus Lewis, Jr., and one ordained Deacon, James Branch. We could also bless our community with backpacks, school supplies, and other giveaways. Under the leadership of our Pastor, God has truly been blessing the TFCC family. “For we walk by Faith and not by sight because we trust God to do the supernatural, the impossible, and the unbelievable in our lives.”
